Vaccine Distribution Information for Those in Education

The Conway Area COVID-19 Testing Consortia which includes Conway Regional Health System, Central Baptist College, Hendrix College, and the University of Central Arkansas, are working together in collaboration with City of Conway, Conway Area Chamber of Commerce, and Baptist Health – Conway as the state prepares to offer COVID-19 vaccine to eligible groups within phase 1-B of the ADH vaccination plan.

Phase 1-B begins on January 18, 2021 and includes individuals age 70 and older and those who work in education.

All individuals who want to receive the vaccine will have the opportunity to do so, however, the timeline will vary depending on vaccine supply and availability. As the health systems, pharmacies, and clinics within our community receive additional shipments of vaccine,  preparations are being made to streamline administration of the vaccine.

Each institution will provide additional instructions for employees on the vaccination process for their organization. Because there is currently a limited supply of vaccine, the Vaccine will not be available in mass quantities when we move to 1-B on January 18, 2021.

As more vaccine doses become available, there will likely be a tiered approach for distribution based on risk.

This vaccine offers much needed protection as we work together to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community. As information becomes available regarding vaccine distribution, you can find updates, as well as information and additional resources at conwayregoinal.org/covid19vaccine
