During Your Stay

At Conway Regional, we are honored that you have made the choice to trust your care to us during your time of need. Our nurses and support staff will strive to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

During your stay at Conway Regional, your care may be directed by a hospitalist, a physician who sees patients only when they are in the hospital. If this happens, it will be because your primary care physician is using the hospitalist service to provide you with timely and high-quality inpatient care. Hospitalists are focused only on inpatient care and are readily available to address your medical needs while you are here. To ensure that you have the best care available, hospitalists will stay in close communications with your family doctor and specialists, and will have access to your medical records.

A television is provided in each patient room at no extra charge. Conway Corporation provides cable service allowing our patients the opportunity to view stations including but not limited to: local television, USA, ABC Family, ESPN, E!, TV Land, Nickelodeon, Discovery and VH1. Please be considerate of others and keep the volume low.

Arkansas law (Act 134) prohibits smoking anywhere on Conway Regional Health System property. Violation of Act 134 is a Class C Misdemeanor. Please assist us in complying with the law by not smoking anywhere in the hospital, including your room.

Telephones are provided in all patient rooms. To make a local call, dial "9." Once you hear the dial tone, dial your number. To make a long-distance call, dial "9" plus "0" for an outside operator. Long distance calls must be made collect, with a calling card or charged to your home phone.

Cell phones may be used in the hospital except in certain restricted areas. Please respect posted signs in identified areas where cell phone use may interfere with medical equipment.

Calling a nurse

A nurse call button is located at each bed. Pushing the button will notify the nursing station that assistance is needed. Your call may be answered through an intercom system that allows you to speak to someone at the nursing station. All patient bathrooms have either a nurse call cord or a button. Use of either will notify the nursing station that assistance is needed.
