CEO Matt Troup Accepts New Leadership Opportunity

Conway Regional Health System President and Chief Executive Officer Matt Troup will depart the organization to accept a Market President role out of state, effective July 17, 2026.

Troup has served as President and CEO of Conway Regional since August 2015, helping lead the health system through a period of transformative growth and organizational advancement. During his tenure, Conway Regional expanded from a respected community hospital into one of Arkansas’ fastest-growing regional healthcare systems, serving communities across central and north central Arkansas and the River Valley through expanded specialty services, outpatient clinics, physician recruitment, strategic partnerships, facility investments, and regional operations growth.

Throughout his tenure, Conway Regional completed significant capital investments across the health system, expanded its regional footprint, strengthened provider alignment, and earned repeated recognition as one of the best places to work in Arkansas and nationally. Also, under Troup's leadership, Conway Regional earned Magnet Designation for nursing excellence and implemented Graduate Medical Education to address the physician shortage in Arkansas.

“This decision was difficult because of the relationships my family and I have developed through the more than eleven years in the state and the close connection to Conway Regional and its progression as a health system,” said Troup. “I am incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished together over the past 11 years. The growth and progress we’ve seen across the organization would not have been possible without the dedication of our employees, providers, leaders, and Board of Directors. I am deeply thankful for the trust, support, and relationships built during my time at Conway Regional. This opportunity represents an exciting new challenge to engage, align, and lead a team, and I look forward to supporting continued personal and professional growth. I will still be Conway Regional’s #1 fan.”

Jeff D. Standridge, Chairman of the Conway Regional Board of Directors, praised Troup’s leadership and impact on the organization. “Matt has provided exceptional leadership during one of the most important periods in Conway Regional’s history. His vision, servant leadership approach, operational discipline, and unwavering commitment to excellence have helped position Conway Regional as one of the premier regional health systems in Arkansas. While we are certainly saddened to see him leave, we are incredibly grateful for the foundation he has helped build, and we wish Matt and Melissa tremendous success in this next chapter.”

Conway Regional’s Board of Directors will begin the process of identifying the organization’s next President and CEO immediately. Additional details regarding leadership transition plans will be announced in the coming weeks.
