Congratulations to Mary Jo Shaver, MD, the latest recipient of the BEE Award at Conway Regional. Dr. Shaver was nominated by the wife of a patient who shared a story that truly reflects our iCARE values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence.

In her nomination, the patient’s wife described how Dr. Shaver went above and beyond to ensure her husband received the care he needed. When they encountered challenges scheduling a procedure elsewhere, Dr. Shaver took the initiative to make numerous calls and coordinate care so the procedure could be completed at Conway Regional the very next day.

Throughout the process, Dr. Shaver listened carefully to every concern and answered questions patiently and clearly, helping the patient and family feel informed, supported, and at ease. Her dedication and compassion exemplify the kind of care our teams strive to provide every day.
