Patient Care Tech on Cardiac Unit Achieves BEE Award for Outstanding Care for Patients and Coworkers

“He treats every patient with the same level of care, courtesy, and compassion. No matter if the patient is nice, calm, easy-going, confused, aggravated, sad, lonely, or any other range of emotions," the award nomination said of Todd McDonald, patient care tech.

Todd McDonald, a patient care tech, is the latest winner of the Be Exceptional Everyday (BEE) award at Conway Regional. Todd achieved the award based on an anonymous nomination from a co-worker in the Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit, citing his willingness to help coworkers and take on extra tasks for patients.

“He never turns down a task or patient request, and very frequently offers his services as a means of improving staff and patient morale, helping patients heal, improving the patient’s day, and benefiting every team member he encounters,” states the nomination.

The nomination continues, “He treats every patient with the same level of care, courtesy, and compassion. No matter if the patient is nice, calm, easy-going, confused, aggravated, sad, lonely, or any other range of emotions.”

Todd is pursuing a career in nursing at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton. He expects to achieve his License Practical Nurse (LPN) degree in 2026.

Conway Regional created the BEE award to recognize non-nurses for exemplary care and service. Anyone wishing to recognize a nurse or another member of the Conway Regional staff for extraordinary care can visit https://crhs.healthcare/employeerecognition.
