Patient Care Tech Achieves Award for Outstanding Care for ICU Patients
“I love taking care of my patients; every one of them is near and dear to my heart,” said an emotional Hailey Dickinson after she was presented with the award. Hailey is planning a career as a registered nurse and is known for her compassion and attention to detail.

Hailey Dickinson, a patient care technician in the intensive care unit at Conway Regional, has earned the Be Exceptional Everyday (BEE) award for her attention to detail and the exceptional care she provides for her patients.
“I love taking care of my patients; every one of them is near and dear to my heart,” said an emotional Hailey after she was presented with the award. Hailey is planning a career as a registered nurse and is known for her compassion and attention to detail.
Hailey was nominated for the award by a coworker, stating, “She is always there when you need her, and I have seen her provide exceptional care to these very sick, vulnerable patients.” The nomination added, “She sees the little details and what others may overlook.”
Hailey treats her patients like family. “She doesn’t just see people as patients, but as human beings.” The nomination gave an account of a patient who raved about how Hailey made him “feel human as she provided basic care like brushing his teeth, combing his hair, getting bathed, etc. She always gets high praise like this.”
Recognizing the exemplary care provided by non-nursing employees like Hailey was the reason Conway Regional established the BEE Award. It is modeled after the international DAISY award that celebrates the skillful and compassionate care provided by the nursing staff. The award is chosen anonymously and is the top award for non-nurses at Conway Regional.
