ICU Patient Care Tech Earns BEE Award for Exemplary Care

Nomination: “Jesus not only helped ensure patient care remained seamless but also lifted the entire team’s morale with his positivity and willingness to step in where needed.”

Jesus Arias Rodriguez, a patient care tech on the Intensive Care Unit, achieved the Be Exceptional Everyday Award (BEE) for Conway Regional Health System for his dedication, teamwork, and compassionate care for patients and coworkers.

The BEE is the highest award given to non-nursing employees at Conway Regional. The award is chosen by members of the health system’s Patient Care Governing Congress based upon anonymous nominations. The BEE Award was created by Conway Regional to recognize non-nursing staff for exemplary care provided to patients and coworkers.

Jesus’ nomination centered around his performance on what was a particularly difficult day in ICU. Jesus demonstrated integrity and dedication after being unexpectedly called into work on a day when the unit was receiving numerous, highly critical patients.

The nomination stated, “He immediately jumped into action without hesitation, demonstrating both initiative and compassion.” On this night, Jesus made multiple trips to the blood bank and assisted nurses with CT, all the while caring for his eight patients.

The nomination continued, “He not only helped ensure patient care remained seamless but also lifted the entire team’s morale with his positivity and willingness to step in where needed.”

Jesus was praised for consistently going beyond his duties. “His consistent, thoughtful approach ensures that everyone he interacts with feels seen, valued, and cared for.”
