Dr. James L. Head, MD

Dr. Jimmy Head is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, born and raised in Heber Springs, AR. He graduated with a B.S. in biology at UCA, and then received his doctorate in medicine at UAMS where he was awarded scholarships for outstanding academic achievement and membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Oklahoma, followed by a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa. Dr. Head is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

MAKO Doctors CRHS Grant Bennett

Dr. Grant W. Bennett, MD

Born and raised in Hot Springs, AR, Dr. Grant W. Bennett is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He graduated magna cum laude from Ouachita Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and biology. Dr. Bennett earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine in 2006, receiving scholarships for outstanding academic achievement and membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

In 2011, Dr. Bennett completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center in Greenville, South Carolina. He then completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas in 2012.

MAKO Doctors CRHS Tod Ghormley

Dr. J. Tod Ghormley, MD

Dr. Tod Ghormley is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon from Amarillo, TX. He attended the University of Houston and earned his medical degree with high honors at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 1984. He completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock General Hospital in 1989.

After his residency, Dr. Ghormley moved to Arkansas where he’s been ever since. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, Arkansas Orthopaedic Society, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and the Christian Medical & Dental Association.

MAKO Doctors CRHS Scott Smith

Dr. H. Scott Smith, MD

A native of Arkansas, Dr. Scott Smith is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He attended the University of Arkansas for his undergraduate education as well as his medical degree, which he earned in 1998. After completing his residency in orthopedic surgery in 2003 at the University of Tennessee Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Dr. Smith moved to Arkansas.

Dr. Smith specializes in knee, shoulder, and hip replacements. He has extensive experience in arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder and knee, including rotator cuff repair and ACL reconstruction. He is also skilled at mini-incision carpal tunnel release.

Board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Smith is also a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has served as president of the Arkansas Orthopaedic Society. He is also a member of the Arkansas Medical Society and the Faulkner County Medical Society.
