Conway Regional Medical Center has announced the introduction of an alternative payment program that provides patients and families with a more manageable way to pay their medical debts.
The program, brought to Conway Regional by Commerce Bank and called Health Services Financing (HSF®), features a no interest line of credit with affordable monthly payments to finance patients’ out-of-pocket expenses. Depending upon the balance, the duration of the payment plan could be up to 60 months. By offering HSF®, Conway Regional Medical Center seeks to alleviate the stress of medical bills for patients and provide considerable benefit to the Conway community.
According to Alice Ford, Director of the Conway Regional Patient Financial Services, “Our holistic approach to the well-being of patients extends beyond care and into sound household finances, and as such, we are pleased to offer HSF® to the communities we serve. I believe this program truly speaks to Conway Regional Medical Center’s mission to provide compassionate care to the community.”
The HSF® program is a solution during a time of great need, when costs can be a barrier to individuals seeking care and rising deductibles and co-pays are commonplace. Patients’ out-of-pocket costs for visits – whether planned or unplanned – can be unaffordable and Conway Regional sought a creative way to provide more options for payment.
Patients and families are eligible for an HSF® Account regardless of whether they have insurance. Further program attributes include fixed terms; one manageable monthly payment; and the ability to fund multiple services/charges on one account.
“Conway Regional’s launch of HSF® derives from our core commitment to our patients,” said Ford. “This program helps provide them peace of mind when confronted with medical expenses, creating a positive impact and ultimately a healthier, happier community.”
