Diabetes is a chronic disease characterized by high levels of sugar in the blood. According to the American Diabetes Association, there are 25.8 million people in the United States alone have diabetes. Of those 7 million people do not know they have diabetes and 1.9 million people will be diagnosed this year.
At Conway Regional, we want to bring diabetes education to our community. We are here to help those individials who are at risk of diabetes and who already have diabetes, manage their lifestyle to live a healthy, productive life. Life does not cease with a diagnosis of diabetes, but you must manage the disease.
