Diabetes is a chronic disease characterized abnormal blood sugar levels. According to the American Diabetes Association, 25.8 million people in the United States alone have diabetes. Of those people, 7 million people do not know they have diabetes and 1.9 million people will be diagnosed this year. Life can continue to be abundant after a diagnosis of diabetes, but the condition must be managed.
At Conway Regional, we want to bring diabetes education to our community. In addition to our classes, Conway Regional diabetes educators can be found at health fairs, leading free care groups and in the news teaching the public how to manage diabetes. We are here to help those individials who are at risk of diabetes and who already have diabetes, manage their lifestyles and lead healthy, productive life.
Conway Regional Diabetes Education offers support services and a Self Management Training program for those dealing with diabetes. To learn more about our Self Management Training program visit the Diabetes Management Program page. Click to learn about Monthly Diabetes Care Meetings.
