Conway Regional has always been committed to the health of our community. More than just providing healthcare services to those that are sick, we want to help our community live healthy lives.
During 2012 and 2013, Conway Regional Health System identified unmet community health needs for Faulkner County, by conducting a Community Health Needs Assessment in collaboration with a number of community and health organizations throughout the process to ensure we included persons with broad knowledge of the community.
The determination of community health needs took into account community demographics, socio-economic factors and health service utilization trends. Further, it incorporated input from community coalitions, focus groups, surveys and a community summit.
The assessment and formal report are in alignment with the federal IRS community benefit reporting requirements that affect all state-licensed 501(c)(3) hospitals. The priorities identified in the assessment have been accepted by the Conway Regional Health System Board of Directors.
Conway Regional will utilize the assessment as a guide, over the next three years(2013-2015), for providing programs and resources to address identified community health needs in support of the community and our mission. Community benefit programming at Conway Regional will continue to work in ways that are collaborative with the community and strive to improve the overall health.
