Employee Benefits
Prime Time Program: Full-time (FT) and part-time with benefits (PTB) employees are eligible for the Prime Time Program and will accrue Vacation/Holiday hours at the same accrual rate, based on length of service to CRHS .
There are three major components to the Prime Time Program: 1) Prime Time Hours 2) Personal Illness Bank, and 3) Vacation/Holidays.
1) Prime Time Hours. Under CRHS's Prime Time Program, eligible employees receive a bank of Prime Time Hours to use however they choose. These hours are available to new hires on a prorated basis, after successfully completing their 90-day introductory period. Prime Time Hours, normally used in 4-hour increments, can be used for personal time off, to recuperate from an illness, or to help care for a sick spouse or child. At the end of the year, it can be transferred to the Personal Illness Bank or traded for cash, depending on account balances.

With the first paycheck received each new calendar year, all eligible employees (FT and PTB), regardless of hire date, will receive Prime Time Hours. FT employees will receive 56 hours. PTB employees will receive 28 hours.
2) Personal Illness Bank. Another component of the Prime Time Program is a Personal Illness Bank, which will be established for each eligible employee. These hours may be used for the employee's illness, or a family member's illness, but only after all Prime Time Hours have been used.
Employees start with a zero balance in their Personal Illness Bank. At the end of each year, an employee has three options for any unused Prime Time Hours. First, an employee can transfer all unused Prime Time Hours to the Personal Illness Bank (480 hours or 60 eight-hour days maximum).
Another option is to "sell back" up to 24 Prime Time Hours as a "wellness bonus" if the number of hours in the employee's Personal Illness Bank has not reached the maximum level (an employee must have at least 80 hours in the personal Illness Bank). Or an employee can "sell back" all unused Prime Time Hours for a "wellness bonus" if the number of hours in the Personal Illness Bank has reached the maximum level. Finally, an employee can transfer or "sell back" any combination of hours, as long as the previous criteria are met.
3) Vacation/Holidays. The final component of the Prime Time Program is Vacation/Holidays. Eligible employees will earn Vacation/Holidays as follows:
Holidays and Vacation Hours will be grouped together and accrued each pay period. A few examples are shown below:
- Part-Time With Benefits (PTB): Each year during the first four years employed, a part-time (PTB) employee working 20 hours a week will earn 40 hours vacation time plus 28 hours holiday time for a total of 68 hours accrued. Each year during the fifth year through year 14, the PTB employee working 20 hours a week will earn 60 hours vacation, plus 28 hours holiday time for a total of 88 hours accrued. And each year during the 15th year and beyond, the PTB employee (working 20 hours a week) earns 80 vacation hours and 28 holiday hours for a total of 108 hours accrued.
- Full-Time (FT): Each year during the first four years employed, a full-time (FT) employee working 40 hours a week will earn 80 hours vacation time plus 56 hours holiday time for a total of 136 hours accrued. Each year during the fifth year through year 14, the FT employee working 40 hours a week will earn 120 hours vacation, plus 56 hours holiday time for a total of 176 hours accrued. And each year during the 15th year and beyond, the FT employee (working 40 hours a week) earns 160 vacation hours and 56 holiday hours for a total of 216 hours accrued.
Remember, even though PTB employees accrue Vacation/Holiday hours at the same rate as FT employees, they work fewer hours each week, so will naturally accrue fewer Vacation/Holidays to use.
Unused Vacation/Holiday Hours "roll over" at the end of each calendar year, and continue to accumulate and be available for use to a maximum of 320 hours. Employees will also have the option to participate in the Vacation Buy Back Program towards the end of the calendar year in which they may sell back a selected amount of hours for a bonus payment. The employee must sell back a minimum of 80 hours to participate. 20% of the hours will be deposited into the employee's personal illness bank.
Prime Time Program Benefits Available At Termination. Only unused Vacation/Holiday Hours will be paid at termination, with a limit of 320 hours total payment. The Prime Time Hours and Personal Illness Bank are available for use only during the time an individual is employed at CRHS. Additionally, to be eligible to receive accrued Vacation/Holiday time, the employee MUST give a written, two-working-weeks notice to their supervisor. Leadership Team members must give a written 30-day notice.
