Women's Services
Women's Services programs, housed in the Barbara Harpe Nabholz Pavilion, provide skilled care for women of all ages, targeting preventive health, obstetrical, gynecological and surgical services. Our goal is to treat all women and their newborns with compassion, dignity and respect as well as with excellent family focused healthcare.
Obstetrical Services The Obstetrical Unit provides 16 LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum) suites where new mothers and well newborns are cared for from admission until discharge. Newborns are monitored while in the hospital by a complex infant security system. A certified lactation consultant assists with breastfeeding during and after hospitalization. New parents may obtain breastfeeding and newborn care items from the Lactation Supply Center.
Newborn Intensive Care Nursery (NICU) A six-bed Level II NICU provides care for sick or premature newborns. New parents have access to a rooming-in room near the NICU, in which to care for their newborn in preparation for discharge.
Conway Regional offers a personal, long-term approach to serving those whose lives have been touched by the loss of an infant. Click Perinatal Bereavement Program.
Lactation Store The Lactation Store, located on the first floor of the Women's Center, carries breastfeeding gowns, bras, breast pumps and accessories. Breast pumps are offered for sale or rent. Gift Registry is also available for expectant mothers. A Lactation Consultant is available for consultation during the mother's hospitalization as well as by appointment following discharge. The Lactation Store is open by appointment only Monday-Friday, 8 am-4 pm. Call (501) 513-5721 for an appointment.
Gynecological/Surgical Services A 12-bed Women's Unit on the first floor of the Women's Center provides a place for women recovering postoperatively from gynecological, breast, bariatric, and other surgical conditions as well as women with medical problems during pregnancy. They are cared for by nurses knowledgeable in the special needs of women.
Women's Imaging Center The Women's Imaging Center is easy to access and offers services to detect breast or bone density problems. Diagnostic equipment includes two digital mammography units, an ultrasound and a bone densitometry unit. Diagnostic interpretation services are provided by a radiologist who specializes in breast and bone health, and is supported by the R2 Image Checker which enhances detection rates.
