Imaging/Radiology
Conway Regional offers MRI Imaging with one of the strongest Magnetic Resonance Imaging units in the state and places Conway Regional's imaging services among the best in the state of Arkansas.
Also available at our outpatient imaging center is an "Open Bore" MRI for those patients who cannot tolerate a "closed" MRI. The Imaging Center is open until 7 pm Monday through Friday and offers laboratory services as a convenience to our patients.
In keeping with our dedication to patient care and comfort, our mammography suites have been completely renovated to provide additional privacy, comfort and accessibility to our patients. We provide the latest in digital mammography with the expertise of Conway's only radiologist dedicated to women's imaging.
Bone densitometry to monitor bone loss in both our young and aging patients is also available.
Other medical imaging services include:
- Ultrasound Technology which uses sound waves to produce images of the different organs and vessels in the body to diagnose abnormalities.
- Special Procedures Laboratory where various types of arteriograms are performed on the venous and arterial systems of the body to diagnosis circulatory problems.
- Spiral computed tomography scanner (CT Scanner) uses thin slice radiography and split second imaging technology to help physicians diagnose disease throughout the body.

- Digital Mammography to diagnose potentially cancerous lesions in the breast and stereotactic breast biopsy to confirm or rule-out malignancy.
- Breast MRI is a noninvasive imaging technique that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to look at the inside of a patients body. This technique is highly sensitive and very beneficial for patients with a high risk of breast cancer.
- Radiography (x-ray) which includes all types of diagnostic radiography.
- Nuclear Medicine technology in which radioisotopes are injected into the bloodstream and imaging is obtained to help identify abnormalities.
- Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory uses ultrasound technology to diagnose circulatory problems in the legs and neck.
