Conway Regional Senior Health Services offers assistance for seniors experiencing symptoms of dementia and other disorders effecting their mental health as well as providing a resource for those caring for seniors with dementia.

It is the mission of the Senior Evaluation & Counseling Center to provide early detection, intervention, treatment and counseling services to individuals and caregivers experiencing the stress and grief associated with a decline or change in the cognitive, emotional or behavioral functioning of a loved one.
The professional staff at Conway Regional Senior Evaluation & Counseling Center includes a psychiatrist, neuropsychologist, a clinical social worker and a mental health clinic manager. Their goal is to ensure that you or your loved one receives the competent and compassionate assessment and care needed in this phase of life.

- Mental health evaluation and counseling
- A personalized plan of care
- Medication evaluation and management
- Individual, family and group therapy
- Caregiver classes
- Mental health and social service resources for physicians
- Referral source of senior services for individuals in Faulkner, Perry, Van Buren, Cleburne and Conway counties
- Access to nonprofit agencies that provide social services for seniors
Geriatric Transitional Care - Inpatient 2302 College Avenue, Conway (located on the 2nd floor of the Conway Regional Medical Center Patient Tower) (501)450-2385 Designed for individuals age 65 and older who need short-term (10 to 14 days) mental health care. We assess to determine a treatment plan, schedule daily therapeutic activities and prepare for a smooth transition to either the home or an appropriate long-term care facility.
Our Geriatric Transitional Care unit includes 11 beds, seven in private rooms, and is located in the medical center for prompt physician or emergency care. Initial assessments are free and can include either pre-admission telephone screening and/or an at-home visitation evaluation. All patients are admitted by a psychiatrist with a primary care physician consulting for any chronic medical condition.

Resources for family and caregivers We encourage families to be involved - from treatment decisions and weekly support groups to planning what happens after discharge. Our individual and group therapy programs involve counseling, music, art, occupational, pets, plants, spiritual, relaxation and recreation. If requested, primary care physicians will receive patient progress reports regularly. We are covered under Medicare and most major supplemental health insurance companies.
