Metabolism Testing Master your metabolism! You can count calories as much as you like. But unless you really know how many calories your body burns, it could be difficult to manage your diet and exercise for success. Knowing how many calories your body burns is the first step to weight management. MedGem* by HealtheTech is a state-of-the-art indirect calorimeter that accurately measures RMR (resting metabolic rate). RMR is the minimum amount of calories needed to sustain life (circulation, respiration, hormone secretion and nerve activity). RMR accounts for 65-75% of your caloric needs.
Knowing your RMR (resting metabolic rate) number will help you to plan healthy eating and activity levels to get you on the road to success.
The Registered Dietitian will measure your RMR and assist you with a nutrition plan to help you meet your goals. Metabolism testing includes a full nutrition consult and a diet analysis.
