The Conway Regional Health Foundation has awarded scholarships to 14 area students, totaling $26,500.All of the scholarship recipients are pursuing education in an advanced health care related field.
The students received scholarships based on grade point average, leadership ability, activities and financial need. Scholarship recipients and their families were recognized during a reception in the Conway Regional Auditorium. The scholarships are funded by private donations to the Conway Regional Health Foundation.
Conway Regional President and CEO Matt Troup said, “We are honored today to have a small part in the education of some of our future health care providers.” He thanked the donors for their support noting that scholarship donations are “a great example of how donors can give back to the community through contributions to the Health Foundation.”Lori Scroggin, Chief Development Officer for Conway Regional Health System, helped present the scholarships and told the history behind each award. This year’s group of scholarship recipients includes students who aspire to become doctors, nurses, therapists and medical information specialists. These students come from a variety of public and private school backgrounds and have been accepted or are currently pursuing higher education at the University of Arkansas for Medicine Sciences, University of Central Arkansas and at Arkansas State University -Heber Springs.
Medical Staff Scholarships
Physicians on the Conway Regional Medical Staff make an annual donation to fund scholarships. Dazzle Dazesm also contributed this year. There are six Conway Regional Medical Staff Scholarship recipients:
Blake Beck of Morrilton is working toward a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from UCA and has been accepted into the physical therapy doctoral program at UCA. He is a graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic School
Rainie Jones of Houston, AR, is working toward her Master of Science in Nursing at UCA. She works as an RN in Obstetrics at Conway Regional and is a graduate of Bigelow High School.
Ashley Rhinehart of Pottsville is working toward a Master of Science in Nursing at UCA to become a family nurse practitioner. Ashley works as an RN in Labor & Delivery at Conway Regional. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arkansas Tech in Russellville and is a graduate of Pottsville High School.
Marianna Shelton of Conway has been accepted to UAMS and will pursue a master’s degree in nursing to become a family nurse practitioner. Marianna works as an RN in CCU at Conway Regional. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UALR and is a graduate of Conway High School
Lindsey Wade of Conway is working toward a Doctor of Physical Therapy at UCA. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Tulsa. Lindsey graduated from Bentonville High School.
Kahlya Williamson of Greenbrier is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UCA and has achieved a GED from the Adult Education Center in Conway..
Dr. James S. Garrison Scholarships
Cassidy DeSalvo of Damascus is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UCA and is a graduate of Greenbrier High School.
Laken Harrell of Conway is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UCA. She is a nursing Assistant on 4 South at Conway Regional and is a graduate of the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts in Hot Springs.

Stephanie Dayer of Conway is pursuing a medical degree from UAMS and graduated from Conway High School
Conway Regional Health System Nursing Scholarship
Meg Prince of Conway is pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing degree from UCA. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UCA and works at Conway Regional as a nurse manager in the Emergency Department. She graduated from Crossett High School. Eleanor Duncan Scholarship
Lindsay Massey of Conway will pursue a master’s degree in Nursing from UCA. Lindsay earned an RN from Baptist Health School of Nursing and is a graduate of Vilonia High School.
Janice and John Robbins Scholarship
Jessica Moix of Conway is pursuing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UCA. She has a BSE from University of Arkansas and is a graduate of St. Joseph High School.
Clemmie Cook Nursing Scholarship
Kayla Dollar of Greenbrier is a graduate of Quitman High School. Kayla is pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing from UCA. She is working as a registered nurse in Labor & Delivery at Conway Regional. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville.
Mary Ann Stiefvater Medical Information Scholarship Fund
Sara Elizabeth Maulden of Bee Branch plans to major in Health Information Management Technology at Arkansas State University in Heber Springs. She is a candidate for graduation at Southside High School.
