Our thoughts and prayers are with all who are coping with the catastrophic effects of Hurricane Harvey.
How you can help
While many organizations are providing onsite assistance, we’ve been told that the greatest need is for financial support. We’ve learned about two CHI facilities that have had to evacuate patients due to the flooding. Many staff members of these two facilities have been personally affected by the flooding; some had to evacuate their homes and leave everything behind, and some already know their homes have been badly damaged or destroyed. To help them, the CHI Texas Division has set up a coworkers emergency relief fund; to donate, click here.
At this time, we unite our hearts and thoughts by praying for patients, caregivers, first responders and all people affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Collection sites for a limited time for donated items such as clothing, food and home items that we are aware of include:
- H3 Home + Décor
- Antioch Baptist Church
- Jim Stone Elementary
We recommend you contact these organizations directly if you plan to donate after the Labor Day weekend to determine if they are still collecting these items.
