General Visiting Guidelines
It is the philosophy of Conway Regional Medical Center to provide family-centered care to our patients. We have established an open visiting policy for most areas that is flexible while still maintaining an atmosphere conducive to our patients' welfare. Nursing staff may ask visitors to leave when necessary for the protection of the patient. Loud conversation is not allowed. If you do have children with you, we ask that you not allow them to run in the hallways, into other patients' rooms or restricted areas. Please observe special signs posted on rooms where patients are in isolation. We ask that you be considerate of other patients during early morning and late hours.
Some areas do have visiting guidelines and hours. Please see exceptions to open visiting hours below.
Child Visitation (under 12 years of age)
Short, quiet visits are allowed with the exception of CCU. Children under 12 years of age anywhere in the hospital must be accompanied by an adult other than a patient. Children who are visiting may be denied visitation if they have an active, possibly contagious condition (i.e. cough, cold).
In consideration of the rest and healing of our patients, Conway Regional observes quiet hours from 10 pm to 6 am. During that time, we ask visitors and staff to show sensitivity to our patients' needs for rest by being as quiet as possible in the hallways, waiting areas and patient rooms.
Labor and Delivery Visiting Guidelines
Pediatric Patient Visiting Guidelines
Parents or a designated substitute of a pediatric patient may have open visiting hours unless otherwise instructed by a doctor.
CCU/CVICU Guidelines for Visitors
We welcome and encourage you to visit your loved ones in the Critical Care Unit or the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. You play a vital role as a partner with our staff in their recovery.
While it is often stressful to have a loved one in CCU or CVICU, we ask that you observe the following visitation guidelines:
- Patients in these areas may receive two visitors at a time.
- Visitors may switch to allow time for the patient to have contact with family and friends.
- At times, visitors may be asked to leave CCU or CVICU if there is an emergency situation. Remember that the staff is dedicated to coordinating the best quality of care for all of the unit patients.
If you have any questions or concerns about your loved ones, feel free to contact the primary care nurse in CCU at (501) 450-2170 or the nursing staff in CVICU at (501) 513-5493. Children under 12 are not allowed to visit CCU or CVICU patient rooms.
