Q: Why did I receive more than one bill for my hospital stay?
A: Some services require a doctor to review the results of the services provided to you. Examples of these services are Radiology and Lab.
Q: Can I make payments or do I have to pay all at once?
A: Some procedures require a down payment. Arrangements can be made by contacting the Business Office.
Q: Why did I receive a notice from a collection agency?
A: Because you did not respond to statements sent to you from Conway Regional. We send a series of statements to our patients explaining the status of their accounts. If patients fail to help adjudicate their accounts, they may be referred to third party collection agencies. If you feel an error has been made, please contact the Business Office at (501) 450-2121.
Q: Why am I getting a bill from Conway Regional when I haven't been there?
A: Conway Regional does lab work for our local physicians. The blood drawn at your physician's office may be sent to Conway Regional to be analyzed.
Q: Why wasn't my insurance billed?
A: Conway Regional bills insurance companies as a courtesy to our patients. If the proper information is not communicated to the Business Office, billing errors may occur. It is very important that patients bring their insurance cards with them when they receive service at Conway Regional.
Q: I have Medicaid. Why are you billing me for my Emergency Room visit?
A: Medicaid requires its recipients to have primary care physicians. These physicians must be made aware that their patients are being seen in the emergency room. When the physician is notified and he agrees with the reason for the patient being at the emergency room, he gives a "referral" to the hospital. If the physician does not give a referral to the hospital, then we have to bill the patient.
Q: I went to the Business Office and tried to find out exactly how much my bill would be for my procedure and they were unable to tell me. Why?
A: It is difficult to determine how much a patient's bill is going to be because the doctor may have to have additional procedures done on any visit.
